Lawyers represent clients in various legal matters. To become a lawyer, you need a post-graduate degree and certification. Nationwide there are over 550,000 Lawyers who earn an average salary of $129,440.

Lawyers typically spend four years completing their undergraduate degree and three additional years in law school. While pre-law undergraduate concentrations exist, most students who go on to law school study a range of disciplines. To become licensed as a practicing Lawyer, one must be admitted his state’s bar. Each state has it’s own bar exam – a test that must be passed before licensure – and Lawyers must get licensed in every state they practice in.
