As most of the postsecondary institutions in Wyoming are community colleges, most of the state aid programs are provided for these students. The Wyoming Community Colleges Commission offers three financial aid programs:

  2. Veteran’s Tuition Programs: Several programs are offered to Wyoming veterans that aid in funding the student’s college education.
  3. Teacher Shortage Loan Repayment Program: Students must be in their junior year at the University of Wyoming and be seeking a teacher education degree leading to certification in special education, mathematics or science. The loan does not need to be repaid if the student uses their certification to work in a public school in Wyoming teaching one of the three previously mentioned subjects for at least 50% of their working hours.
  4. Wyoming Hathaway Scholarship Program: Students who meet the academic requirements and attend college in the 307 area code are eligible to receive up to $1,600 per semester.
