Hospitality and hotel management is one academic program that seems to be becoming more and more popular these days. However, how can you decide which program is right for you? And how much do these degree programs cost? Take a look at these schools that offer popular hospitality and hotel management undergraduate degrees to help you make the right decision.

5. Northern Arizona University: $7,364 (resident), $18,262 (non-resident)

Located in Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University (NAU) offers a BS in either Hotel and Restaurant Management or International Hospitality Management. The international hospitality degree is popular among students who want to work in other countries who have an interest in international travel. About 65% of students in this program are employed by the time they graduate.

4. Michigan State University: $12,203 (residents), $31,148 (non-residents)

Michigan State University (MSU) has a special program for hospitality and hotel management majors within their Broad College of Business. MSU offers a BA in Hospitality Business, with an option to specialize in real estate and development as part of their major. Many students love that they get a wealth of real-world experience through the program’s two required internships.

3. Florida International University: $6,417 (residents), $18,816 (non-residents)

Florida International University is quite popular among hospitality and hotel management majors due to its low in-state tuition rate. This college offers a BS in Hospitality Management that includes a minimum of 1,000 hours of practical training work experience in the hospitality or tourism industry in addition to an internship. Another popular feature of this program is that students can opt to fast-track their graduate work through the combined BS/MS in Hospitality Management.

2. University of Nevada, Las Vegas: $6,585 (residents), $20,495 (non-residents)

It’s no surprise why the UNLV’s hospitality and hotel management major is so popular. Students at this school get the benefit of studying in a city that offers plenty of real-world experience in their program of choice. The undergraduate degree in hospitality management comes with the option to choose among four concentration areas: professional golf management, restaurant management, gaming management and meetings and events.

1. University of Central Florida: $5,584 (residents), $21,063 (non-residents)

Many hospitality and hotel management majors are attracted to the low in-state tuition at this school. The University of Central Florida has a separate school for this program called the Rosen College of Hospitality Management. The college offers three BS degrees in this area: hospitality management, event management and restaurant and food service management.
