About MC

In addition to career-oriented two-year degrees and hands-on work programs, Midland College in Midland, Texas, offers bachelor’s degree opportunities. With its academic, service and technology centers, students also have access to numerous resources.

Students in one of Midland’s associate degree programs may take full advantage of the Midland co-operative education program. The co-op program gives students the chance to take a work assignment in their field of study.

A student majoring in Automotive Technology, for example, might take an internship in auto-mechanics, while someone in Computer Science or Paralegal Technology could intern in an office related to their field.

Additional associate’s degree programs are available in such varied fields as Cosmetology, Drama, Respiratory Therapy and Sociology.

In recent years Midland has expanded to include a bachelor’s degree in Applied Technology as well. Students in associate’s programs who wish to get a bachelor’s at another school may also transfer to a public or private four year school throughout and even beyond the state.

Whether pursuing a professional associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree or preparing to transfer, all Midland students may benefit from the school’s comprehensive facilities. These include an Aviation Maintenance Technology Center, a Center for Pilot Preparation and a Childcare Center which provides training for Education students as well as childcare.

Students seeking admission will need to submit transcripts from all schools attended. Forms of financial aid, which are granted to eligible students, include scholarships, loans, grants and book vouchers.
