I really like Florida Gateway. The staff is always helpful and all the students are really nice. It feels like a true college environment not like a high school. The other day I got to school earlier than I intended and one of the workers there let me in the classroom early. I thought that was really nice that the staff member did that for me. Any tips I would have for prospective students is to get there early for your classes sometimes parking close is a bit difficult.
Academics
The class size is about 300 or so so its not too big. For a community college it offers quiet a few different class programs. Has one of the top nursing programs and just recently rolled out a new game design program. All the professors are really nice and will go the extra mile to help you if your having trouble.
Campus Facilities & Safety
The atmosphere is pretty great, we just opened a new recreational facility for students to relax in. Its really nice and has 2 stories and has pool tables and ping pong. Its ran by the students so its a good place to chill and hang out with everyone. We also have some racket ball courts, shooting range, and basketball courts. its overall a really nice campus and I love it. Parking like I mentioned can be hard to come by for a decent spot and specific classes. I think that is with any college though.

The campus is really pretty. There is a brand new library that is so amazing I don't even know how to describe it. The new library has a cafe, computers, books, movies, cd's a study area and it is so amazing to look at. There are also flowers everywhere. They are remodeling a building. There is a huge performing arts center. They also always have different things going on, like a spring festival, free food events, and back to school events. They offer so many different events and clubs to get students involved with the school.
Academics
The teachers are amazing; I have one college class that is offered in the morning at the high school. It is a history class, and I had never been much a fan of history myself. I am now in my second semester of this class taking the second part and it is probably the best class and best teacher I have ever had. I have never learned this much in history as I have in this class. I am an auditory learner and this teacher explains history like a story, he makes it so much more interesting than reading it out of a book. I am maintaining an A average at the college and the only reason is because the teachers care about their students’ academic success. If I am having trouble or have a question I can ask and they will help.
