About UofL

University of Louisville is a state-supported research facility in Louisville, Kentucky. Established in 1798, the UofL has a rich history and relatively competitive admissions: the average student ACT score is 24.5.

UofL offers over 250 degree programs in 12 different colleges and schools consisting of the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business, College of Education and Human Development, Graduate School, J.B. Speed School of Engineering, Kent School of Social Work, Louis D. Bandeis School of Law, and schools in Dentistry, Medicine, Music, Nursing and Public Health, and Information Sciences.

University of Louisville does not have rolling admissions, and deadlines vary depending if you are a first-time freshman, a transfer student or an international student, so be sure to keep careful track of your specific deadlines.

First-time freshmen are required to pay a non-refundable $50 application fee when submitting their application. Students applying to the School of Music must pass an audition in addition to their application. Students need to meet the requirements outlined in the pre-college curriculum, and should submit all test scores and transcripts as soon as possible.

Scholarships at UofL are competitive and merit based. The minimum requirements to apply for a University Scholarship is a 3.35 GPA and a 25 ACT (1130 SAT). Like the admissions processes, the scholarship application is online. It is also separate from general financial aid, so be sure to complete your FAFSA in order to receive information about the aid for which you may qualify.

Great school love the campus, the programs, and the faculty. the facilities our second to none. The activities center is huge. The food choices are crazy. The social life is great. The city of Louisville is also nice not to big and not to small. Always something to do. Great scholarship offers too.
