Overall

About the dorms / Living facilities are not what I thought it would be and the bathrooms are small, too small to share for the amount of girls on the floor although there;s two bathrooms it's not student friendly need to be larger. Dining Hall over crowled trying to feed everyone at once and running out of food, no seating and the food it's good all of the time. They need more variety and vegetables. The loud noise all through the night sometimes as late as 3:00am on a school night, some of the students have no structure, morals nor values about themselves.

Academics

The classes and the professors are pretty good, my schedule was messed up at first and the professors worked with the students that had problems with scheduling. They ran out of books and made sure that when the books arrived we were notified so that was a good thing, I feel the books were very expensive, but I needed them, I was told they had used books 20 minutes before I went to purchase and when I got there I was told they didn't have any used books so that was a disappointment to me and my mom. The class size is comfortable and the learning material is understanding and self explained. Overall I like my classes and the professors they are very helpful and understanding.

College Life

I am not into the clubs, organizations and athletics at this time I am trying to allow myself time to get to know the campus first before getting into any of the clubs and organization. The social atmosphere most people have their friends that they connect with and hang out with some are calm and there are others that are so loud. I do go to some of the games with a few of the people I know that we have went to High School together (3), campus safety is ok there isn't a lot going on as far a violence it's pretty quiet when it comes to that and on the weekends I am usually in my room doing project tha are due weeks before, in the study hall or study lab doing work for the following week or weeks. On the weekends that I do not go home I usually sit out side in front of the dorm for a while, walk to the store or go get something to eat then back in my room.

Overall

The heart and soul of the college community was excellent. I was grieved to see the school in need of repairs, and the overall appearance to be "run down". It appears that they do not have a lot of funding. The attitude and spirit of this school is "trying to do the best we can" attitude.I picked up on that immediately. Examples are the gym area displayed trophies won, etc., but the encased glass was missing from each area, the carpeting was very stained, in the gym, and the dorms were very run down and out dated. The overall "green space areas" were extremely deficient. The students appeared to not have much to do...The dining hall is in need of serious repair. The aspects that enhanced the visit was the attitude of the people. They are doing everything they can to make this atmosphere a successful one. It's a shame that our students do not have the opportunity to have the best.

Academics

We did not visit any classrooms, etc. The feedback recieved from the students regarding their library was horrendous. No quiet places there, or capacity to experience an atmosphere where they can concentrate. The school can control that. I was very displeased with that information. If I was choosing a school I would not choose this one based on that. We recieved consistent feedback to that effect from the student body that the library is not a place they can study because of the "allowed loud, disrespectful behavior" that takes place there.

College Life

The police department on campus was visible. I cannot form an opinion on that alone. Several students commented on campus fighting, etc. Safety is a major issue and concern. I want my daughter, and other students in a safe environment. The social atmosphere appears to be one where the students do not have much to do on down time.
