About Wesleyan University

For the self-motivated student, Wesleyan University provides virtually endless opportunities. Its academics, while rigorous, are based on exploration and experimentation. Undergraduates are encouraged to pursue their passions and discover new ones, choosing from more than 45 majors or designing their own.

Wesleyan University also has several graduate programs to choose from. While many of these programs are geared toward engineering and science, graduate degrees in music and liberal studies are available.

Freedom is crucial in student life, as well. Wesleyan has more than 200 clubs and organizations on campus, nearly all of which are completely student-run. From arts to athletics, there’s something for everyone at Wesleyan, and if you have an interest that isn’t represented, you’re encouraged to start a new student organization.

To apply to Wesleyan, use the Common Application with the Wesleyan supplement. The application deadline for regular decision is January 1, and notifications are sent in April. Deadlines vary for early decision and transfer students.

Because Wesleyan has a need-blind admissions policy, the university is committed to meeting all of its students’ demonstrated financial need. Wesleyan recommends that all incoming and returning students complete the FAFSA, even if you’re not sure that you’re eligible for financial aid.
