Originally founded to provide higher education opportunities to recently freed African Americans and other under-served people, Pain College has grown into a proud four-year university. Established in 1882, Pain College was founded in the Methodist tradition and continues to weave religious and secular education into academics on its Augusta, Georgia campus.

Paine College offers bachelor’s degrees in a variety of concentrations of the following disciplines:

• Division of Business Administration

• Division of Natural Sciences and Mathematics

• Division of Social Sciences

Though the list of academic majors is relatively short, students receive superb instruction from scholarly and professional instructors in the classroom.

Paine College aims to produce a welcoming environment where students can invest in their future. Student life features clubs and organizations that breath life on campus by promoting intellectual, moral and healthy life experiences. As in the Methodist tradition, Paine College advocates social responsibility, ethical values and personal development. Students are encouraged to explore community service opportunities, religion, athletics and much more.

Student support services, such as a health clinic, counseling, academic and career advising, work study opportunities, and academic workshops are available to every student to enhance his or her college experience.

I've never visited this school but I do plan to enroll on the fall of 2014. Receiving this scholarship wouldn't a lot to me and will giver a head start with receiving money for college.
