Despite being a public state university with a state university price tag, University of Maine Farmington is more like a private, liberal arts college. With its historical New England campus, its small student body and its mission of cultivating independent thinking among its students, there’s a lot to love about the Farmington location.

University of Maine students tend to be creative, but are also strong in academics. They might major in:

More than 85% of full-time students receive some amount of financial aid through scholarships, federal grants and loans, school grants or work-study. The majority of students get aid from several of these sources.
