The school is fantastic. The food in the cafeteria is good. The life and feel of the school is really great. There are a lot of things to do right around the school. I would recommend living around campus so you can experience the life and atmosphere of the college.
Academics
The programs are plentiful. Some classes are rather large, and then in others it is a regular class size. The professors are nice and friendly and will help you with whatever you need. The workload varies depending on the professor. I have had a class where there were just 4 exams the whole semester and others where there are quizzes online regularly.
College Life
The college life here is really exciting. There is happy hour and a mall. They have campus police that patrol all night long. The athletics is really fun. All of the students go to the games and tailgate before all of the games. There are plenty of activities to do on the weekend depending on your preference. There are bars, a mall, a bowling alley, and in the summer time the beach is about 40 minutes away.

I absolutely love Georgia Southern! The school overall makes you feel at home. Large scale, small feel is our motto; it is tried and true! I am beyond grateful that I chose to attend this prestigious university in Georgia. There is no other place I would rather be! Hail Southern.
Academics
The classes here are amazing. Our advisers try to make sure that we get into the appropriate class for our majors. The class sizes are no more than 200 students in a lecture hall. I love the aspect that you can have a class with almost 200 students, then in another the maximum number of students are 25. All of my professors have been very, very knowledgeable and helpful! The workload is nothing too extreme, but they make you work! Nothing worth having comes easy. Georgia Southern will make you work extremely hard for that degree.
College Life
I absolutely love Statesboro, Georgia! It has a homey feeling, while still having that away from home feeling. With it being just one hour away from the Georgia Golden Islands and Savannah, it is a great rural area to come and relax and study at Georgia Southern. There is so much diversity on campus that there is an organization for everyone! If you like to sew, I'm sure that we have a sewing club somewhere on the over 900 acre and ever expanding campus. Our athletics are currently on the rise into the Sunbelt Division/FBS. We are in the process of building a brand new stadium and expanding the campus more and more. We have one of the top rated campus securities in Georgia. The main priority at this institution is student education and student safety.

My favorite thing about the campus is the campus itself! The campus is beautiful and gives off a real campus feel. My tip for future students is to find something you enjoy doing and join a club or organization. In these clubs/organizations, you will be able to meet people who share the same interest.
Academics
Dependng on your major, the classes are usually a good size. The core classes tend to have a lot more students in them. My advice to you is to keep a running list of every assignment andd its due date. Make sure you complete your assignments on time and your workload will not seem unbearable.
College Life
There are a lot of organizations on campus. It would not be difficult to find at least two organizations that peak your interest. There are always activities going on and people tend to be really friendly. Campus safety has definitely improved over the last couple of years.

I think this school is perfect for me. I don't really like huge crowds, but I still enjoy socializing. Southern is a perfect mix of a large college with a small town. I don't really have anything to compare it to, but so far I've been nothing but content with this choice. I would probably advice future students to get involved with something around the school like club sports or a frat.
Academics
The class size varies a lot depending on what you take. Some classes have as many students as a high school class, while others could fill a theatre. The professors know what they're talking about though, so no complaints there. They don't give too much extra work either besides studying.
College Life
The social life can definitely be a distraction since it's so large. There's any number of organizations and clubs to get involved in and captivate you. Even if you aren't a part of a defined group, the activities around the school will surely help you find a niche. The sports are always fun to watch and there's never a shortage of parties.
