About COT

With administrative workers in high demand, office technology is a great subject for the career-oriented student to pursue. Since 1983, the College of Office Technology has provided training for those interested in clerical jobs, and shortly thereafter it was approved to offer associate’s degrees.

The College of Office Technology offers a number of programs in the medical, business, and computer technology fields. Whether you want to be a nurse technician or a computer repair specialist, there’s a program for you amidst COT’s diverse academics.

While acceptance is not ensured, COT’s admissions department welcomes all students who are willing to learn. Anyone who is at least 17 years old and holds a high school diploma or GED can apply. If you don’t have a diploma or GED, you can take the ATB test instead. Applications are accepted year-round, so you can apply at your convenience.

Because its primary goal is finding employment for its graduates, the College of Office Technology provides extensive job placement services. A Career Placement Specialist will teach you how to network, research employment opportunities, and identify your personal strengths. They even offer strategies on how to keep your job once you’ve landed it!
