Anastasia Olano Student at This School - Grad Year 2014
Overall RatingThis school is geared towards the success of white students. Students of color are disadvantaged and isolated. There is little diversity, and ignorant comments can be heard throughout the campus from both professors and fellow students. It is shameful. But the ocean is nice and Multicultural Greek life is where I have found my place. These people are incredible.

Overall RatingEven with the loads of homework stacking up, I can’t help but think how awesome college is. I know I probably sound like a complete nerd right now, but when it comes down to it, I’m proud to admit that I love the university I’m currently attending. The people here are so laid back and chill about everything, but even more so, they are so nice. I even had a good first impression when I first visited the University of California of Santa Barbara simply because people (both students and professors) had been really helpful when my parents and I got lost trying to navigate our way around with a map. And to top things off, when I arrived here for my two-day orientation, I found out how easy it was to find somebody that I had things in common with, and to befriend them. People here are genuine, it’s almost weird. Everyday I’m meeting new faces and the ones I already know are only becoming closer and closer as friends.
