Overall

Its a good school.

Academics

I think they should focus more on other classes that have to do with the subject of what your attending school for.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The school itself was a great place and the staff and teachers were great.

Overall

The Medical Assisting program was quick to finish, but lacked much in education for the on-the-job portion of the schooling. The program was approximately $10,000. The classes were relevant as far as general education goes, but most of them were not directly related to the career. The only classes that really did me any good in this program were the MA classes (where we learn to take vitals, give injections, and draw blood), Medical Terminology classes, and Anatomy&Physiology classes. However, all classes where "required" especially if you have federal financial aid (Otherwise you end up paying out of pocket. Class schedules can be changed on a whim and do not flow well because they do not have a scheduler, this can also effect your out of pocket pay and financial aid. You are also required to purchase books and supplies that are unnecessary and were not used in the class or homework at a price (charged by the school) higher than what you would have paid for them on your own.

Academics

The class size for the majority of classes is typically fairly small, but I began at the school with a very large class. Teachers were spread too thin and were asked to work unreasonable hours and were not scheduled a lunch break. One MA class was so large that our education was compromised by the lack of time in the term and number of students in the class. We are each required to do 25 blood draws and the students who really wanted to pass had to spend every extra minute they had in the classroom trying to get their draws finished. The teachers were amazingly fantastic and so helpful, willing to bend over backwards to help their students and make sure everyone had every opportunity available to pass the class since it was so large (had to be taught by 2 instructors).

Campus Facilities & Safety

Campus had most of the things needed to get by. Its located in a very old building and 8 students became stuck in the elevator, we had to call the fire department and evacuate the building due to smoke from the elevator. We had homework that required internet and computer access, and there were sufficient computer labs to use, but administration would actually turn off the internet! So there was one computer with internet access in the main office that all students and any visitors had to share to complete online tasks.

Overall

The best part about this school is that I was able to obtain a certificate extremely fast. Also, I was hired through the externship program.

Academics

The workload was heavy and hard, but the teachers where always there to help. I loved how small most of the class sizes were.

Overall

Abdill Career College, Inc. is a great way to get your foot in the door if you are thinking about entering the medial field. The school is small. My class in total had about 7 people in it. It's a great program to get training fast. The rules are strict and there is little to no room for making changes in the rules that are set. I enjoyed that the MA classes were very hands on because I feel I am able to learn better that way and I liked that I was able to complete the program in a little under a years time. The staff at Abdill is helpful and will work with you to accomplish your goals. all in all Abdill Career College Inc. is a good school. Guide for Healthy Tips - Guide for Healthy Tips Health Tips

Academics

The schools classes are fast paced and you go through lessons very quickly because it is an accelerated program. Because they go through so much in such a short amount of time there is a lot of homework, and a lot of studying outside of school but it is nothing that you can't manage if you make the time to do it. There is no such thing as late work so making sure all homework is done on time is crucial.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The school itself is very, very small. The student body is very small as well, in my class there were about 7 students including myself. The building is older and not updated but there is plenty of parking available right outside the building which is nice.

It was adequate for what I needed. The school is in desperate need of an update. Most of the computers are barely able to function.

Overall

The school is in a run down building, The room are not very up to date. But you get in and get out with a skill you can apply that is what matters

Academics

Homework load is intense as it is a fast paced career school. 3-4 hours a night and you can not miss more than 2 classes per term or you get dropped.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Its in a ok neighborhood, parking lot is a little overcrowded and your next to a busy street. Every one is friendly though

Overall

Abdill was a great experience for me. I learned all the skills necessary to give me a leg up in the job field I wanted to go in to.

Academics

All the courses offered at Abdill were well taught and well presented. The teaching staff was very knowledgeable on the subject matter.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere was great if you enjoy a small town kind of thing. There was enough parking for everyone attending as long as everyone wasn't there at the same time.

Overall

Great school, The Staff and Instructor's are always helpful and understanding (very strict though) awesome learning environment. They definitely cram you full of information in a short amount of time. Abdill is a great starting point, once you succeed here, you feel ready to accomplish so much more. The trips down to the court house with my Legal Assistant/ Secretary group were always a fun experience, very informative.

Academics

The class rooms are small, they offer different Medical programs, and Professional programs. The world load is intense, you are working to accomplish finishing a one to two year program in few months time.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Very friendly atmosphere, but everyone dresses very professional (Dress according to their profession), as well as, it is a very serious, buckled down environment. Everyone there is striving to complete a mutual and do it goal at their best.
