About Mount Union College

Though it was established more than 160 years ago, the University of Mount Union has experienced substantial growth in recent years. Formerly known as Mount Union College, Mount Union gained university status in 2010. It currently maintains graduate programs in Physician Assistant Studies and Educational Leadership.

However, University of Mount Union is a liberal arts college by definition, and its emphasis is still undergraduate academics. The university offers more than 55 majors and a handful of unique, specialized minors in areas like Multiage Education, Database Management and Web Design.

College life at Mount Union lets you choose from about 80 student organizations, including multicultural clubs, student government, performance groups, religious organizations and more. In addition to more than 20 intercollegiate sports teams, Mount Union also features intramural athletics and other wellness programs.

Mount Union prides itself on its affordability, and a variety of financial aid programs are available. In addition to need-based federal grants and loans, the university offers merit scholarships that do not take need into consideration.

University of Mount Union’s admissions office begins reviewing applications on September 15, so the earlier you apply, the better. Application requirements include ACT or SAT scores and the Secondary School Report Form (completed by your high school guidance counselor).
