About New England School of Photography

New England School of Photography (NESOP) is a leading photographic institution offering one of the most comprehensive professional photographic educations available. Our two-year Professional Photography Program combines practical technical training, extensive personal artistic exploration, and essential instruction in the business of photography. The NESOP education provides students with a complete, balanced, marketable skill-set that they will need for a successful career in professional photography. By keeping pace with industry trends and technology, the education our students receive remains current and relevant in an ever-changing environment.

During the first year, students work from the ground up, establishing a strong technical and visual foundation- work that prepares them for their advanced second-year studies. During their second-year, students choose up to three areas of professional specialization from the 10 photographic concentrations, spanning all areas of photography, offered in the program. Graduates of the Professional Photography Program depart NESOP with two cohesive professional portfolios (a major and a minor) – a competitive advantage unique to the NESOP education.

Throughout the program, students are encouraged to forge their own visual path, creating diverse imagery and establishing their own unique style. This approach infuses a level of creative freedom at NESOP not found in many other photography programs, resulting in dynamic portfolios that allow our graduates to set themselves apart in this competitive industry. If you are serious about pursuing a career in photography, NESOP is the place to start.
