Overall

I liked the smaller campus life. It was also near home. I most liked the easy access to classes, when I lived in the dorms. The downtown area was a charming place to visit also. The dorm food was fine. I also lived off campus and liked it too.

Academics

It's been 40 years since I attended classes at PSU and the campus has grown a great deal. I enjoyed the smaller classes in my major and minor areas. The professors were friendly and available for conversations.

College Life

College is what you make it. There are many clubs and organizations to belong to, as well as great academic stimulation. The library was up-to-date and a place where I spent a great deal of time. Sports were exciting and the teams rocked!

Overall

The school served me well, as the pre-med program allowed me to go to medical school. However, the town was depressing, and the majority of students are from the general area. I played basketball, but football really runs the school and town. It served it's purpose.

Academics

I majored in Biology. I would say that the classes were appropriate, with small enough classes and adequate attention from professors. My workload was large, majoring in pre-med and playing basketball - I assume you can make what you want of this. The professors were mostly helpful.

College Life

I was not in a fraternity, unless you count basketball/sports as a fraternity. The town is small and mostly depressing, and the nightlife mostly shadowed that. There was a fair number of concerts, and campus events, along with the usual house parties, etc. The campus seemed safe to me. Preparación. Gin Tonic perfecto Sikkim Bilberry

Overall

I have visited Pittsburg State University three times. Every single time that I was there I enjoyed myself. I felt very comfortable and safe. Every person that I came into contact with was very nice and helpful. My favorite part of each visit is how welcoming everyone is. If you ask questions they try their hardest to answer you. The last time that I visited, my mom and I stayed over night at a hotel and got a feel for the town itself. My trip made me even more excited to start college there. If a prospective student asked me for a tip, I would have to say that they should find a student on campus and walk around with the student. I know a couple of students that are currently enrolled and when you walk around with you get more of an inside look at everything.

Academics

I have met a couple of the professors on campus. The professors that I met with were very nice. If I asked a question, the professors would try their hardest to answer my question. I could tell that the professors were interested in me and that they wanted to be talking to me. From what I have seen so far, the class sizes are reasonable. They are fairly small, and your professor will know who you are. I have heard from current students that as long as you can manage your time, the workload is not too bad. I have watched the band programs and they are amazing. The other programs that I hope to be involved with seem like they are pretty good as well.

College Life

The social atmosphere is friendly and supportive. There are many clubs and organizations that you can become involved with. Pittsburg is big on football, and the entire town supports the football team. Weekend activities vary from person to person, but everybody has activities that they can participate in over the weekend. I have done research on the safety of the campus. It is very reliable and everyone helps each other stay safe.
