Overall

Baker Univeristy providing me with so many opportunities, not just academics. For example, I was able to use my Spring Breaks and volunteer for Habitat for Humanity through the Methodist Church on campus. I was apart of Greek life and I am still involved to do this day with my sorority. I had the opportunity to have three internships during my time at Baker. I met my best friends at Baker. The small atmosphere drew me into Baldwin City. I loved the small town feel and the campus is so beautiful with the maple trees and limestone buildings. Academics

The classes were very small, but again that was a perk for me. It is a liberal arts school and with that entails being able to classes that I most likely wouldn't have been able to take at a larger insituation. I enjoyed most of the professors. There were two that I felt were only there to get published and they didn't really care to spend their time helping students.

College Life

Baldwin City is a very small town; there were/are no "clubs," but there is a local bar that at the time was the best place to hang out if you were 21 and over. However, Baldwin is located 15 miles from Lawrence and 25 miles from Olathe. Athletics was one of the main attractions for Baker. The campus for the most part was a safe environment. Because everyone felt so safe they did not put in a lot of money into security. Security usually rode on golf carts and had a beat up toyota sedan.
