About CCP

In addition to offering standard associate degree and certificate programs, the Community College of Philadelphia offers dual programs which give students guaranteed admission to one of Pennsylvania’s reputable universities.

The Community College of Philadelphia offers over 70 associate’s degrees and career certifications through on-site and online courses. Transfer degree programs are offered in such fields as Business, Teacher-Education, Humanities, Interior Design, Psychology and Social Sciences.

Career-oriented degrees and certificates may be obtained in such areas as Computer Information Systems, Medical Assisting, Nursing, Addiction Studies, Human Services and Paralegal Studies, among many others.

Students who commit to maintaining a certain GPA may also qualify for the college’s dual admissions program. This gives students guaranteed admission to such schools as Temple University, Drexel University, LaSalle University, Rosemont College and St. Joseph’s if they meet the requirements.

Regardless of whether a student wishes to transfer to one of these schools, another university, or move directly into the workforce, ample counseling services are available.

Students are assigned counselors who assist them with choosing the right courses, the right transfer path, and a suitable career. The Community College of Philadelphia’s counselors also offer personal counseling for students facing personal challenges.

Other services available at the Community College of Philadelphia include tutoring, disability services and financial aid for eligible students.

Overall Rating

Depending on campus, most items vary from teachers, students and courses. The North East and annex St Hubert were very nice and resourceful. I enjoyed being in class and completing online education. Very little help as far as the Bursar and Financial Aid at these locations.
