Overall

Baldwin Wallace has a very inviting and energetic atmosphere. I have only been here for a month and everyone seems to be close. Professors are determined to help you. There are many opportunities they offer at the school for all students.

Academics

I am currently taking 16 credit hours and because of my professors I am very determined to succeed. The workload can be a bit much but I know this will prepare me for a great future. I am majoring in Sociology And minoring in Criminal Justice. I am in Global Perspectives and this class has students from all over the world. I am enjoying learning about all the different countries from my other peers. I also am taking Urban Life Perspectives, which is giving me hands on work. I am a part of a philanthropy that allows me to work at a transitional home and my goal is to raise grant money for this organization.

College Life

The students and faculty are a very social group of individuals. The staff wants all their students to succeed and therefore they push each individual to their limits to do so. We have many athletic teams and students are even given the chance to organize any sport that is not available with enough students who want to join the group. Campus safety is always there to help students. I have not really come into contact with them too much sine I commute. Seeing as that I am new here I have not heard of many weekend activities but I will be looking forward to going to the football games.

Overall

Baldwin Wallace is an amazing school. Everyone is extremely nice, and I'm mot just saying that! People hear are genuinely kind. For example. A girl lost her phone yesterday. The person who found it sought how who it belonged to and returned it. Those types of random acts of kindness or not so random at BW. The faculty and staff go above and beyond to make sure you succeed. It is a liberal arts school so the classes and course work can seem overwhelming at times. It's hard to miss class without being noticed and many teachers have an attendance policy(but the nice part is going to class pays off!) Also, there is not much to do in the small town, you got to make your own fun! It's a small campus so everyone ends up becoming friends. It's easy to meet people and get involved.

Academics

It's a liberal arts school which basically means there are more philosophy and other courses that are required. There is a guarantee that you will graduate in 4 years or the 5th year is paid for. All of the professors are great at what they do and try their hardest to help. Your work load is adjustable to fit your needs( but you need a minimum 12 credit hours to be a full time student. Class sizes are small ( it's a small class). The biggest class I've been in had 25 students.

College Life

There are so many clubs on campus, and if there isn't one for what you're interested in, you can create your own. The atmosphere is super friendly and supportive( I thought it was weird how sweet everyone was but when you realize how genuine they are, you appreciate it).the campus is safe and they have security guards on duty all the time to assure nothing happens. We are a D3 school but our school spirit is pretty high! We have champion sports teams and also have less competitive, intramural sports. On the weekends people usually go home most people live close by. There is a theatre and multiple restraunts less than 15 minutes away. There is usually a party happening somewhere. You just have to find your own fun, but it's there!

Overall

Baldwin Wallace University (BW) has a mission of creating well rounded students, through service, experiential learning and a positive community. Such experience like Alternative Break working with children with terminal illness has fueled my passion for children even more. I have achieved great success while here and I attribute my success to the many staff and faculty members who have been nothing less than encouraging and passionate. BW's environment and community has a foundation where I can succeed and be comfortable with my surroundings and self. The experiential education obtains inside and outside the classroom is that of a lifetime. Outside of BW I actually started a Non-profit Organization called: The Movement of David, which provides spiritual dance training and classes for the Chicago land and Cleveland area. Though began outside of BW, I have been able to utilize programs such as Blackstone Launch Pad who have help to maximize my company for future endeavors. I have also held 4 Internship positions throughout my three years at BW, all attributed to BW and the key aspects surrounded by it. Thanks to BW allowing personal growth and success through their mission, I am sure of the success of one day taking my Non-profit Internationally to benefit the lives of impoverished children of the world through dance one step at a time. While attending BW I made it my mission to take chances and step outside of my comfort zone.I encourage any and all perspective students to engage in all that BW has to offer while taking advantage of the hands on learning!

Academics

Begining my second semester with BW, I was introduced in to a semester long program called the Urban Semester Program. This program not only sparked my interest because I was a urban studies minior, but also because the program had a great focus on giving back to the community. Without hesitation I enrolled into a program where myself and eight others lived in a campus owned house in the city of cleveland, working, learning, and serving together for 16 weeks. By far the best decision of my life, besides attending BW. We were experiening everything we learned in classes. This made discussions, assignments, and class times fun and interactive. Getting to know my professors and having class in dowtown cleveland while strangers walked by was the ultimate learning experience. Following this program returning to live on campus, I was nervous to not be in the atmosphere I had grown accustomed to. But upon entering my classes every professor had a new creative way of thinking and changing preceptions. BW is great for allowing professor to teach out side the box which makes everything ten times better. Not to mention the workload and class size go hand in hand being intimate and breathable.

College Life

BW is known for their theatrical, and musical abilites of the conservatory. Aside from the conservatory the Greek life and campus organiztions have great precedence over the BW community. With over 150 student lead organizations and the unlimited possiblites for gaining a match for students personalites and interest, BW allows studetns to BE excatly who you want to be. Campus wide students are involved in at least 2 organizations even for commuters or Adult learners. BW offers something just for you and ensures a safe enviroment that feels like home.

Overall

I think Baldwin Wallace is a great school that holds many opportunities. There is a huge range of classes, majors, and minors. The professors are great and the students are friendly. Campus is very easy to get around. BW also offers tons of study abroad options, which is a big deal to me and many graduate/medical schools. Good grades aren't enough in this day and age -- you need to be well-rounded and have experience to stand out. Baldwin Wallace is the perfect place for that growth.

Academics

Baldwin Wallace offers many great classes (including really fun HPE classes). Being a liberal arts school, students are definitely getting a "well-rounded" education (probably my favorite thing about BW). Professors are always willing to work students and the professor to student ratio is great for those who do need more "one-on-one" learning. I, personally, love it when I pass a professor outside of class and they know my name and we can carry on a conversation. I do believe that I'm getting one of the better college educations available. I feel like I've learned a ton in such a short amount of time! BW classes usually do a pretty good job at keeping me updated with various current events (as a science major, I find that impressive). Also, we have incredible resources here on campus and ties with many companies in the area, which is great for volunteering, interning, shadowing, etc. We are one of the very few universities that allows their undergraduates to have access to cadaver labs and we also have the second largest telescope in Ohio. So, to put it simply, Baldwin Wallace students have access to an amazing college experience.

College Life

There is a program for just about everything you can imagine. And if we missed one, you can start your own. Baldwin Wallace is a very open, very accepting campus. I find it to be very positive and covered with determination. There are lots of ways to get involved on campus, from low commitment to high. The Greek life at BW is a pretty big deal, but of course, it's not for everyone. Many of our groups are a really good way to get volunteer work and experience in for your future. BW always has some kind of program going on -- it's easy to get involved if that's what you want.We do have the blue booths around campus. I, personally, have never had to call campus security, but I've heard from friends that they've always been very friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. I find this campus to be very safe; well-lit, wide open spaces. Campus security is always on top of suspicious activity.

Overall

I love Baldwin Wallace because the staff and the other students are very helpful. When I was visiting campus and a new student, everyone was very approachable to ask for directions. The faculty and students are always willing to help with any concerns or questions. My most memorable experience will always be my Orientation during the summer before my first semester. At my Orientation, I met two of my closest friends on campus while playing "icebreaker" games and dancing wildly that night. The first weekend of my first semester I will always remember moving in and finding them right away, and then going to activities (such as giant inflatable obstacle courses) with them. I would advise prospective to students to find out as much information as possible such as student life and extra curricular activities. The large variety of options is what swayed me to come to Baldwin Wallace. Camisetas chulas y bonitas para mamas Camisetas para mamas

Academics

I am in the Education program at BW. The program makes sure that the students get plenty of field experience the first year through observations in different schools as well as teaching about different teaching styles and schools to teach in. The program offers a chance to work on additions to the teaching license, such as the generalist endorsement and the mild-moderate endorsement. The class sizes are small because we are a small school. My biggest class was thirty people. The professors know all their students by name and are always willing to help if something is not going right for an individual in the class. They are all friendly, patient, and approachable as long as you are truly making an effort on your part.

College Life

The social atmosphere is friendly. It is so easy to make friends in classes and activities. There is a large variety of clubs (such as Harry Potter Club, LGBT Allies, Intramural sports, zoology, Greek Life, etc). Every weekend, there is always some campus or club-sponsored event to go to. There is usually a dance concert or theater performance to go to. Every Thursday is a program called Midnight Madness, which is a "dry" alternative to drinking and partying, which always has fun games. The campus has a very safe feel to it because it is in a small town and sandwiched between the Berea police department and the Campus Security Office.

Overall

Baldwin Wallace University is an excellent private liberal arts school. Probably one of the best things about BW is that its tuition, room and board is relatively cheap compared to the quality of experience students receive. There are over 60 different majors and an excellent conservatory where musicians from all over the world come to learn and play music. I love that the class sizes are so small, too. You get real one-on-one experience with your professor. My macroeconomics class this semester has only seven other students! If you come to Baldwin Wallace make sure you take advantage of the state-of-the-art recreation center and the personal trainers they provide for students and faculty. Also, make sure you attend the musicals and concerts put on by conservatory staff and students. They are truley spectacular.

Academics

Baldwin Wallace has a huge array of classes to choose from. Because it is a liberal arts institution students do have to take core classes in science, math, English, history, and music. Our professors are often world renowned in their field. One of our music theory professors was nominated for two Grammy awards this year. In the science department, we have a professor of astronomy who has one of the largest astronomical observatories in eastern Europe named in his honor. The class sizes are very small. Student to faculty ratio is 15:1 but classes are often even smaller. Of course, with high quality classes comes quite a bit of work, but it is worth it because we are that much more prepared for our future careers.

College Life

Baldwin Wallace offers over 50 different clubs ranging from the Arts Management Association to the Harry Potter Appreciation Club. We have many academic clubs as well as professional business clubs such as Investment Club, HR Club and PR Club. Our athletic are division three and this year our teams did very well!! There are also many things to do on the weekend (especially for a student like me who lives very far away). There are at least four different concerts on the weekend as well as several different sporting events and volunteer opportunities.

Overall I love the school! The academics there are great. Teachers are very concerned with now only academic, but future success. Greek life is also awesome, GO DELTA ZETA! I love being involved on campus and as a commuter, I feel I still get the full college experience

Academics

The classes, professors, class size, it's all awesome. My teachers know me by name and really care about my well-being. I get extra field experience in teaching which will ultimately help me land a good job.

College Life

There are a ton of activities to get involved with like athletics, greek life, honors societies, academics, career specific clubs, club teams, etc. Everyone on campus is extremely friendly and welcoming!

Best school ever. I was at Cleveleand State University prior to this school, which is also a great school, but Baldwin Wallace University has a small school feel, with a great educational experience. Everyone is friendly, and very, very united.

Academics

Programs are designed to help you in your career, very practical, very useful. Professors are all great in their areas. They have a friendly environment, with a rigorous academic program, that is supportive and challenging.

College Life

Safest campus ever, never felt weird, awkward or afraid when I am walking the campus. I did not explore weekend life, but weeknights, after school, it's an awesome life. There are many restaurants and bars in the area, that are mainly frequented by students.

Baldwin Wallace has a lot of history, and its been around for a while. located next to the metro parks and bagley road, makes it a great place to want to study with acess to nature and the city of Clevelnd. by far the most safe college in the area, and everyone is really nice to eachother. most of the professors are great, with lots of vaubale experiences.

Academics

baldwin wallace has many undergraduate majors, and a few masters programs. the professors are highly experienced in their field of study and they want to help make sure you succeed. workload is depended upon which professors you have, so make sure to use ratemyprofessor to aid you. class sizes are the norm at the start, about 25 students, then being to srink the future in the major you go.

College Life

bw has many clubs, and anyone can create a new one. everyone is very friendly and nice. bw is a division three school in athletics for teh NCAA. there is much to do on the weekends, and in the winter time there is less to find. the campus is extremly safe.

Baldwin Wallace is a great institution! One where you will find life long friends and even partners. What I love most about Baldwin Wallace is the small town atmosphere. But being located 15 minutes from downtown Cleveland, OH creates many job and internship opportunities for the students of Baldwin Wallace. This along with the social atmosphere and great scholarship opportunities is the reason I chose Baldwin Wallace University.

Academics

The class size at Baldwin Wallace is what makes this a great institution. I have never had a class of over 30 people and most of my classes in the business division hover around 20, but I have had two classes with under 10. The benefit to a small class is the student-teacher interaction that occurs. You get to know your professor on a personal level while maintaining a decent work level. Many professors are understanding if problems or situations arise.

College Life

There is a club for everyone at Baldwin Wallace. From foreign language clubs, academic clubs, Greek life, intramural sports, musical ensembles both vocal and instrumental, and even an anime club; everyone fits in at BW. There are several local bars and restaurants students like to go to which are near or on campus.
