Overall

Great school however it in situated in the middle of the city so it might be daunting to get between the different campuses. Like any medical campus, UCSF is joined at the hip with the Medical center on Parnassus ave. and you see many teaching faculty working next door.

Academics

Professor are very bright individuals, usually research leaders in their respective fields. However this noes not translate to being a good teacher, this means much of your time is spent learning the material outside of class. Class size is reasonable around 150ish per room.

College Life

The Parnassus campus is next to some great local restaurants which serve as local hangout for students especially on Sat and Sun nights. If you something more than just restaurants/pubs then you have to go else where. The mission bay campus is nice since it is near At&t park and downtown SF but it is a 30 minute shuttle ride to the main campus.
