About Mount Ida College
Mount Ida is a small, residential college, with a vibrant student life. Most importantly, the academic programs at Mount Ida are top-notch. One thing that sets Mount Ida apart is the college's focus on career preparation. Students at Mount Ida are among the best prepared to enter the workforce when they graduate. The college's placement rate for students after they graduate - for jobs or graduate study in their field - is 84%, well above the national average, which is around 50%. Students at Mount Ida learn in the classroom, but they also learn by doing, with great internship programs, and classes taught by experienced instructors, many of whom currently work in the field they are teaching. Overall RatingMount Ida college, since day one of my freshman year, has supplied students with activities both during the school week and during the weekend. There's always something to do and I am never bored. Off campus, there are many different areas to be explored such as Legacy Place in Dedham, Newton Center, and Boston itself. The T train is directly in newton center, allowing students to explore and enjoy the city itself. On campus, the resident halls are close by each other so hanging out with friends is very easy. Campus is very safe and comfortable.
