About Golf Academy of America, The Carolinas

The Golf Academy of America in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, offers an education in both golf skills and business in what is referred to as the “Golf Capital of the World.” If you want to teach others how to improve their game while learning techniques to better your own game, then the Golf Academy is a great choice for you.

Students will be immersed in the world of golf while studying at the Golf Academy. Myrtle Beach hosts many mini-tour and amateur events, such as the Dupont World Amateur Tournament, the largest amateur golf tournament in the world.

The school operates on a trimester schedule, allowing most students to complete their programs in 16 consecutive months. Classroom instruction, golf techniques, tournaments, allotted playing time and practice at area facilities are all part of the Academy’s program.

Academics include an associate’s program with concentrations in Golf Complex Operations and Management. Students may elect a dual concentration, or only pursue one. Even if you choose only one concentration, you complement your designated golf curriculum with elective courses.

Admissions requirements do not factor in skill level, but rather the desire to acquire golf skills for a professional career path.

Tuition is all-inclusive, covering the cost of private lessons, equipment, tournament fees and textbooks.

Students who complete a FAFSA may be eligible to receive financial aid through federal grants and loans.
