Overall

The campus is beautiful. Resources are always available to help the student. However, there's a lot of part time faculty which means they'e not always on campus or required to hold office hours so my teachers are almost never available. Also the aspect of online grades is not really present at the College of San Mateo. None of my teachers use it and it makes it very difficult to know what your grades are and how well you're doing in the class.

Academics

My classes are fairly easy because my teachers are very impersonal with the students. For a small class size, the classes still don't feel intimate. Teachers often just want to get in and get out. I'm still learning but a lot of it is on my own. That's just what college is like though. It just seems like my teachers don't really like their jobs. Campus Facilities & Safety

The atmosphere is very welcoming. Students have spirit. Computer labs and learning centers are always full and the students definitely use their resources wisely. There's always activities going on in the college center for transferring students, people looking for jobs, students who are undecided, or for everyone to just get active and on their feet during their breaks between classes. Parking is terrible due to construction. If you want parking you'd have to arrive an hour before your class starts if it starts any later than 8:10 am. I feel safe on this campus too.
