I love the atmosphere at UND! The faculty and staff have been so helpful and caring. My tips for prospective students is to research and put the effort in and don't be afraid to ask questions or try new things!

Academics

The professors I have interacted with are very informative and want each student to succeed academically. They are there when someone has questions. The student teacher ratio is good in most of the classes.

College Life

UND offers a variety of clubs and organizations to be a part of so students are able to network and make friends while having fun. Going to UND athletic games is a lot of fun! It's nice to take a break from studying to have fun!

Overall I love the school! I really like the atmosphere here and it's the perfect size for me. Plus there is always something to do around Grand Forks! Oh, and Sioux hockey games are probably my favorite thing to do here! They are always a blast!

Academics

UND has a variety of different programs and classes. I really like the teaching program here and all the classes. Plus most of the professors are really good, and the workload isn't that bad. One thing I really like about the classes are the size. Most of mine are 30 or less and it creates a whole different atmosphere than a huge class. I definitely like the smaller class sizes more than the classes with 100's of students.

College Life

The social atmosphere here is most likely like a lot of the other campuses around the country. There are a ton of sororities and fraternities, 100's of clubs and plenty of sporting events. There is basically any kind of club that you can imagine, and you can always create your own if you want to. The sporting events are my favorite, especially Sioux hockey games. Overall the campus is a pretty safe place, I mean I feel as safe as I would if I was home. And there is always something going on during the weekends to keep you busy!

Overall

I have loved every minute of going to school here. I am planning on continuing until I reach my PHD in space program. My most memorible experience was I was only at school for a few weeks brand new and I was invited to lunch with an Astronant. One of my dreams to one time ask them all kinds of questions was fulfilled all because on open house I spoke with the Dean of Students and we talked about this and he remembered out of all the kids enrollng and when the opportunity arrived he sent me a personal invitation to the lunch amazing..... I am begging my sister to attend her next year as well it is the perfect safe environment for new students. Only thing I would change would be the weather.

Academics

most of my classes are a great size. professors are easy to connect with and discuss classwork and projects. I have been lucky to be able to join my professor in several research projects and have learned so much. Workload is normal could always be less when trying to work two jobs and go to school full time.

College Life

The students have all been so friendly from day one. I have meet life long friends and have meet so many diversified groups. There is always something to do on campus any day of the week or weekend. many fun music things which I love. Any organization or club anyone would be interested in is available to join. The athletics has a huge following great school spirit.

I like UND and the way it's included me even through the online distance program.

Academics

My school/program is high quality, interactive and demanding. The professors are great and very supportive.

College Life

I'm an online student so I don't know a lot about the 'college life' but the social work club Facebook page is a good way to connect with the university and my department.

Overall

Exactly what I looked for in a school. Smaller classes, smaller program that I was interested in, all with the big university feel. I love that the school is in the middle of nowhere with an adorable town attached. Very friendly & helpful school staff. Beautiful campus. I visited with my boyfriend who had just gotten accepted & it was a prospective school for me. After our visit, I was sold.

Academics

UND is a big university with smaller class sizes. I like this because the professors can actually take time with the students. I am interested in the atmospheric science program & being a transfer student I would be there for approximately 2 years with anywhere from 15-19 credits per semester. The staff associated with the department was very helpful & interested in giving the students the education they deserve & help with getting a job in their career field after graduation.

College Life

UND is known for their hockey team, the Sioux. They also have about 200 intramural programs & were rated one of the top 5 healthiest colleges. The town of Grand Forks is absolutely adorable. It has a small-town feel without missing out on anything. I wasn't there to experience the nightlife, but the locals at the Red Pepper were extremely friendly.
