Overall I love this school. Even though I am just getting started I have been treated like a am an important part of the school's "team". Being an adult learner I was nervous about starting school but Excelsior answered all of my questions and put me at ease. Now I am ready to go!
Academics
Since it is an online program it is self paced but you always have someone that you can talk to when you have questions and get them answered quickly and with confidence. You can call, send an email or go into a chat room and connect with other students if you have any questions or concerns.
College Life
This is an online program but there are ways to connect with other students to assist you with any questions you may have. The website they have will give you the answers to any questions that you may have. I love this school!

I am taking online classes from home. I love it. The instructors stimulate discussion, and lead us to the most pertenant and latest in EBP.They stimulate learning by assisting to establish the bigger picture of the nursing profession and define a path for the future in nursing. The on line program is easy to use and the 24 hour support is great.
Academics
Professors are knowledgable and challenge us with the amount of online postings that are required to meet the grade. They stimulate discussion by joining in the discussions. 8 week classes require postings on 4 days out of the week and 15 week classes require 3 days a week. The time spent reading and preparing for the discussions is considerable. The classes are challenging.
College Life
There are chat rooms and other areas where students can go to meet other students. There are seminars of interest offered to thruout the course and if unable to attend these items are archived for later ease of access. There is a news letter informing us of campass happenings and spotlighting staff and students. We can join and arrange study groups. The possibilities are many if we take the time to investigate the tabs.

My courses will be completed on line. I am hopeful that this will become a successful experience. I am hoping the transcripts that will be submitted will be complete quickly and without incident. I have heard of great things about this school and am excited to be a part of it. Encuentra los mejores productos en amazon categorizados Bueno, bonito y barato

Since I am an online student it would be unfair of me to participate in this subject. I am hopeful that I will not have to travel to this campus, if I should have to do this I feel that I will be treated with respect.

For self learners like me, Excelsior offers an excellent low-cost yet fully accredited option for obtaining a degree from wherever you live. You can transfer in credits from local universities or past work, obtain credit for life experience by submitting a portfolio, and test out of a large number of courses if able and willing to master the material on your own.For those looking for an on-campus more traditional college education it is not a great option. But for those in my situation--looking to obtain an accredited degree while I was in my late 20s with strong learning aptitudes and life experience and earned credits at that point--it is an excellent solution. Please note that if you plan to pursue graduate studies, not all programs accept this less traditional approach. The B.S. I obtained is fully accredited and I was able to be accepted into all the graduate programs I looked into (also less traditional than the norm.) But some schools with high academic standards and reputations--such as Ivy League schools and similar ones--do not look favorably on this path for the undergraduate level if planning to pursue graduate work through them.
Academics
Excelsior does not offer its own courses except through the nursing degrees. For the rest of the programs, you are in the driver's seat--working with an advisor--to craft your own program. You can take credits at community colleges, study on your own to test out of courses (such as CLEP and subject GRE's), and assemble a portfolio of your life experience for evaluation and potential awarding of credits. I found my advisor to be very helpful and knowledgeable. We primarily communicated by email with one or two phone calls during the course of quickly completing my degree.
College Life
This does not apply as there is no campus life for Excelsior. Students work from wherever they live and communicate with the college and with advisors online or by phone. They do host a graduation ceremony in Albany, New York that many fly in for--but I did not do so for mine so cannot speak to that side of the experience.
