About PSU

Located at the mouth of the White Mountains in New Hampshire, Plymouth State University (PSU), founded in 1871 as a teacher training school, sits minutes from ski resorts and lakes and just two hours from Boston.

PSU started offering graduate program in 1948 and now has dozens of programs. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and is a part of the University System of New Hampshire.

Through the Frost School of Continuing and Professional Studies, Plymouth State University students can earn their bachelor’s degree with a schedule that meets their needs, including online, hybrid, daytime, evening, or weekend classes.

Student life at PSU is very fulfilling. There are several dozen clubs and organizations to choose from, which grants students the opportunity to develop or improve their communication and group skills while having fun doing something they enjoy.

One of the benefits of PSU’s hands-on, interactive classes is that students can gain some real-world experience through internships, research, community service, and international study programs. There are several residence halls to choose from, allowing students to find the one that will best meet their needs.

Plymouth State University offers in-state residents a discount on tuition, helping reduce the investment required for those who live in New Hampshire.
