About COS
While many community colleges lack on-campus housing, College of the Siskiyous is one of the few exceptions. College of the Siskiyous’ residence halls, or Lodges, help to enrich student life at the college by establishing more of a communal environment on campus.
College of the Siskiyous’ versatile academics are divided into three basic categories:
- Career & Technical Education
- Liberal Arts & Sciences
- Health, Recreation & Physical Education
Liberal Arts & Sciences programs are ideal for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college, while Career & Technical Education programs are designed to get you out of the classroom and into the workforce as quickly as possible. Health, Recreation & Physical Education courses are intended primarily for personal enrichment.
Eligible College of the Siskiyous students can apply for financial aid. Assistance comes in a variety of forms, including grants, loans and scholarships, and is based primarily on need. Make sure to complete the FAFSA early for complete financial aid consideration.
To apply to College of the Siskiyous, simply complete the online application and, if interested, apply for financial aid and housing. Skills assessment tests and a pre-registration advising session are also required to help you determine the courses and program that’s right for you.
