Starting with the discovering of the place there is no certain records as when was the place discovered but taking a rough idea somewhere in 15th Century the Cape Town of South Africa was discovered by some Europeans. The oldest known bits and pieces of the place were in the Peers Cave in Fish Hoek some 15000 years ago. There are very little proof for the living person found at the place. The place was recorded to be discovered by Vasco da Gama sighting a Cape of Good Hope in 1497. The Cape Town is basically famous for its rich minerals history. The discovery of diamonds in 1867 was one of the major reasons of increasing immigrants to South Africa.

Definitely the areas of Africa are famous for its opposing the Britain Government till years. The residents of Africa have long protested against the Colored labor preferences given by the Britain government. Cape Town was home of many leaders which were included in this protest. On Robben Island, 10 kilometers away from the city, many famous political prisoners were there for years.

The most famous moments in the History of Cape Town is the one that Nelson Mandela made his first public speech in decades on 11 February 1990 from the balcony of Cape Town City Hall hours after being released. His speech is held responsible for the beginning of a new era in the country. The first democratic election was held after four years of Nelson Mandela release in the year 1994.

Nobel Square in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront has the most prestigious statues of South Africa’s four Nobel Peace Prize winners – Albert Luthuli, Desmond Tutu, F.W. de Klerk and Nelson Mandela. The History also includes some medical problems held in the whole country. After the year 1994 the local people had to fight with many diseases like HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, etc.

The place is also famous in the negative side as the people of Cape Town were largely a surge in violent drug-related crime and more recent xenophobic violence. But at the same time the country’s economy was on boom due to the tourism attraction of Cape Town and many other places of Africa.
