Recipes Using Milk


Milk Fish:

You can make this preparation with the fish, especially with those belonging to carp family. It is a very easy preparation and easy to digest. Very few ingredients are needed for making it.

•    500 gram fish
•    ½ cup milk
•    5 green chilies
•    Mustard oil
•    Salt
•    Turmeric


Cut the fish into 5-6 equal pieces. Wash and drain the water. Rub salt and turmeric into the fish. Mix milk and 3 tablespoons of mustard oil properly in a cup. Slit green chilies and remove the seeds.


Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish. Now add the mixture of milk and mustard oil. Add salt now and cook the fish in this mixture for some time till the fish is cooked. Add green chilies before removing it from heat.

Keep the lid on. If you want to get both hot and pungent taste then add a tablespoon of raw mustard oil just before taking it off the heat. This preparation tastes best when taken with steamed rice.

Egg with Milk


•    4 eggs
•    1 onion
•    6 cloves of garlic
•    ½ inch piece of ginger
•    cinnamon
•    cardamom
•    nutmeg
•    butter
•    olive oil
•    water
•    ½ cup milk
•    Green chilies
•    Salt to taste


Boil eggs. Shell them and cut them into halves. Grind onion, garlic and ginger into fine paste. Take ½ inch cinnamon, 2-3 cardamoms and little amount of nutmeg. Crush them into a fine, aromatic powder. Wash chilies but do not slit.


Heat olive oil on pan and fry the eggs properly in it. Remove them and keep them aside. Now fry onion, garlic and ginger paste in oil. When the raw smell of spices is gone, add fried eggs and little amount of water.

Cook them to make the gravy. When you have almost finished cooking and the gravy has taken the right consistency, add milk and again keep it on the oven for another 2 minutes. Before removing it from heat add the powdered spices. Add a tablespoon of butter and 2 green chilies; turn off the heat and keep the lid on. Serve it hot.
