Semolina is a product of wheat. It is very nutritious and rich in iron and folic acid. Both of these are very important for health, especially for pregnant women. You can use semolina in various ways to make delicious food items. Here are three such recipes.Semolina Recipes

Mixed Semolina
It is very tasty and is a wholesome food. You can take it as snacks. Preparing it is very easy and takes very little time.

Ingredients:
•    1 cups semolina
•    beans,
•    carrots,
•    cabbage,
•    2 spring onions, finely chopped
•    2 capsicums, cut in small cubes
•    1 potato
•    2 onions
•    Cooking oil
•    Mustard seed
•    Red chili flakes
•    Curry leaves
•    Water
•    Salt

Process:
Wash vegetables properly and cut them into small cubes. Heat oil in a pan and sauté them till they become tender. Keep them aside. Now pour little amount of oil in pan. Add curry leaves and mustard seed in it. Allow them to crackle. When the flavor of curry leaves and mustard seed comes out add semolina in it. If you want slightly hot taste then add red chili flakes in it. Sprinkle water and stir. Keep sprinkling water and stirring until the semolina gets tender. Add salt and little sugar. Now add the sautéed vegetables. Mix them well. Remove it from heat. You can serve it with a bowl of cold yogurt. This preparation is so nutritious and light that you may give it to a patient also. Both semolina and yogurt keep your body cool; they are easy to digest and no doubt they make the ideal summer food.

Sweet Semolina
You can make sweet desert with semolina too. Fry some semolina in butter oil or ghee (clarified butter). Boil it in milk. Add sugar and cardamom powder. When the consistency gets tight pour it on a dish. Spread it on dish properly. Now with a sharp knife cut them into squares. Keep them into refrigerator and after dinner serve them as desert.

Semolina Custard
You can use semolina as desert in another way too.  Boil semolina in milk, add sugar and cook till it takes a creamy, flowing consistency. Keep it in refrigerator to cool. Cut fresh fruits like mango, pineapple, strawberry or banana into small pieces. While serving, pour the chilled semolina on cut fruits. Your semolina custard is ready.
