Sweet patties

Sweet patties are crispy and can be taken as snacks in between meals or at the work break. It also works as mood and energy enhancer supplying glucose to your body. It is very easy to prepare and takes very little time. Ingredients are easily available.

Ingredients:
•    200 grams refined flour
•    2 tablespoon of butter
•    Sugar
•    Pinch of salt
•    Cooking oil
•    Water

Preparation:
Melt some butter and add it to the flour. Add about ½ teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt. Use water to knead the flour. Divide the dough into six equal portions and roll each into an oblong shape. With a sharp knife make a few slits on these. Next, heat oil in a deep pan and deep fry these till they become crispy. Keep them aside.

Now take a heavy bottom pan and add a cup of sugar and one and a half cup of water. Boil the mixture till you get thick syrup. Now soak the fried patties into this syrup, keep for half a minute and then arrange them on a flat dish to cool. You will find that after they cool, the syrup will get crystalline and stick to the body of the patties. When they are all dried up properly keep them in an airtight jar to keep them crisp. Serve them as a snack.

Sweet Coconut Balls:

Sweet coconut ball is another tasty and mood lifting snack.

Ingredients:
•    Coconut
•    Sugar
•    Milk
•    Cardamom

Preparation:
Grind coconut finely. With it mix sugar, milk and cardamom powder. Mix them properly in a container which is ovenproof. After that place that container on the oven.  Keep stirring continuously to avoid sticking at the bottom of the container. When the preparation gets very sticky remove it from heat.

After that keep it to cool down but do not let it cool completely. Touch and see whether you can tolerate the heat. Now take a tablespoon of this mixture and roll it into balls with your palm. If the coconut sticks on your palm, sprinkle cold water to avoid sticking. After making all sweet balls leave them to dry. You can serve them instantly. But if you want, store them in the refrigerator.
