Eat smart and right: Keep a count on your calories especially when you are out of house. While in the middle of all excitement and enjoyment you go free on what you eat, which calls for a lot of trouble at a later stage. Go for salads, roasted chicken, boiled vegetables, soups, and other such light items in restaurants. For breakfast, fruits, eggs, toasts, etc. are the best.

Always carry water: Go back to your school days when you never went to school without your water bottle. That concept applies today always. Water is the best drink to have, especially during trips and picnics. Keeping yourself well-hydrated is very important if you are planning to stay outdoors for a long time.
